…and baby makes three.

Late last summer, a few months past our third anniversary, I realized I’d been stood up by a regular monthly visitor and went looking for answers. We found them (“PREGNANT,” “PREGNANT,” and “PREGNANT”) after a quick stop at the drugstore and a drive home that flew by about as fast as a cross-country trip in a covered wagon. One year later, we have a beautiful five-month-old boy; a tiny, pleasantly old house that we’ll be renovating forever; a 16-acre yard; and two full-time jobs 60 miles apart. It’s a lot to manage, but we’re excited to try.

I’m thinking, reading and writing about the joys and challenges of  go-to-work parenting and our adventures in country life, doing our best to keep our footprints small, and stretching evenings and weekends as far as they’ll go.
