Ornamentation
2008 December 15
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at our house, which is decked out with everything but the stockings (somehow, I’ve lost them). It seems a little silly, given the holes in the wall, wires dangling from the ceiling and unfinished paint jobs that abound in our work-in-progress, but we’ve managed to dress up one room. In keeping with the DIY theme of our lives, this year we made some of our own ornaments, my favorites being the glittered pine cones and acorns from our yard, and the little straw birds’ nests. Today, BooMama hosts the 2008 Christmas Tour of Homes, where we can all look at ideas for next year.

Great pictures! The decorations look very nice. Jack should have another gift to open Wednesday. Be on the lookout.

Nice pictures! and ornaments!
Hope that the roads aren’t too bad for you in the morning.
We’ve been getting cold rain and ice most of the day so might have some slick spots in the morning. We’ll wait to go to town until afternoon — if we go in at all.
Beautifully photographed. You really have an eye! Thanks for sharing your lovely Christmas with us.
I love your captures too-a different perspective always catching my attention. Your baby is adorable!
