spring water

April showers brought plenty of May flowers. Unfortunately, they came with flash floods. A few weeks of frequent storms left the ground saturated, so our mountain is shedding water fast. D spent Saturday afternoon out in the rain, shoveling to repair water bars that were washed away on Friday night. On the bright side of the forecast, the two small waterfalls that lie on the line dividing our land from my mother’s made their once-a-year appearance.
