We were restless yesterday, and Jack needed a nap, so we decided to take a slow, dusty Sunday drive on back roads – not that there’s another way to get there – to White Rock for a different view of the Boston Mountains and Jack’s first time at 2,260 feet above sea level (he’s accustomed to the air at our 2,070).

Then home again – 10 miles straight ahead by bird; about 50 miles down, around, up and over for us. Not at all a bad way to watch the sun set on our weekend.

It’s Best Shot Monday at Mother May I.

It sure is different without the leaves on the trees. We’ve only been there twice, both times by happenstance.

Shots like this remind us how small we really are… Something we all need from time to time. Lovely.
