Playing nice

July 20, 2009

We rounded off a busy weekend with a relaxed cookout + playdate combo last night with some friends. My best shot is snapshot of Jack’s favorite part – pretending to ride his big buddy Hayden’s Schwinn trike. It doesn’t really take two to ride a shiny red tricycle, but lucky for Jack, Hayden likes to share and was content to be cargo. On Saturday, Jack played with another little friend, Blue, who also let him commandeer some of her coolest toys on wheels. When it comes to raising sweet, sociable, share-happy kids, our friends are setting some great – almost intimidating! – examples.

so cute — now can either of them actually ride it? 🙂

It’s great that they’re sharing so willingly – I hope the ride, and the rest of your day, was great fun!

Hayden enjoyed playing with Jack, and was happy to share (for the most part).

And no. He doesn’t really know how to ride the bike yet (in terms of using the pedals). Currently he just uses his feet, although he is starting to get the hang of it.

We really did have a great time! I’ll be sending you an email soon with some possible future dates and a question… and I will also be posting a post about our dinner “date” soon! Good times…
